The living embodiment of this pact is venerated by the coven matrin mama kass who lives in a tree in the center of the floating mote.

mAMA KASS AND THE STONEYARD
Safty and legacy are the two most important things to the pirates of la gaviota. BOTH OF THOSE ARE THE SOUL RESPONSIBILITY OF LA GAVIOTA'S LIVING TREATY THE COVEN HAG MAMA KASS. kASS NEVER LEAVE THE TREE THAT SITS IN THE CENTER OF THE STONEYARD AT THE HEART OF THE FLOATING ISLAND, save for one thing, BURRYING TRUE SWASHBUCKLERS.

There is no greater honor than being intured to the grave in mama kass's stoneyard. THE HAG TOUCHES THE GROUND ONLY FOR THE
fOR THE DURATION OF THE DEATH RIGHT. A HEADSTONE IS PLACED ABOVE THERE PLACE. this is considered such an honor becuase very few are deemed worthy by mama kass to be remembered. The pirates of la gaviota may come to mama kass and leave a offering than ask about one of the grave, kass if she likes the gift will tell the story of that swashbuckler in perfect celerity. most crews will bring a peice of there takes to offer to kass every time they dock.
cHAINROCK
Chainrock is the formost side of the mote, the leading edge, first into the storm and most brutalized part of the floating island. it also, because of this, is the location of the mote's brig. it is a separate mote that seems to float in tandem with the larger island the only thing holding it in place is a set of chains.
Pirates held here are usually only put in for a few days unless there offence was extremely serious. The exposure to the elements and thin fridig air would prove leathel to anyone other than the most seasoned astronauts.
uNDERSIDE
uNDERSIDE IS THE BELLY OF LA GAVIOTA. iT'S DARK 24 HOURS OF THE DAY,cOLD, AND WET. IT'S ATMOSPHERE IS THE ABSOLUTE INVERSE OF THE UPPERSIDE, THE JOYOUSNESS OF THE ON-LEAVE AIRSHIP PIRATES IS ABSENT FROM THE HOODED, SHADOWED FACES OF THE UNDERSIDERS.
Smuggling, MONSTER TRADE, drug dens, and gloom reign supreme here. one travling to underside should consider a picked pocket the least of there worries. The rotting, hanging bridges and cobbled together shacks constantly threaten to drop those unfamaliar with the terrian down to the "Hungry ground"... and thats just as the
undersiders prefer it. the most noteable figure in underside is the vampire Sekal Boonwind and his thrulls who rule over underside zelously. no pirates ever seem to go missing, yet somehow Sekal keeps fed- Something locals choose to over-look.

hARK'S DAY
FIRSTMATES WHO'VE COME OF AGE ON THERE CREW PROVE THEMSELVES AS WORTHY OF MAMA KASS'S PROTECTION. THEY PRESENT THEMSELVES TO HER TO BE JUDGED AND IF THEY PASS THEY ARE SENT TO ARCWALL AND BLOODPORT TO CONVENE WITH THE OTHERS OF MAMA KASS'S COVEN.
sTONEYARD INTERMENT.
WHENEVER A PIRATE OF SOME NOTE DIES AND THERE BODY IS BROUGHT TO MAMA KASS SHE DECIDES BEFORE ALL THE CREWS OF LA GAVIOTA WETHER OR NOT THEY WILL BE INTURRED. mORE OFFTEN THAN NOT THEY ARE DECLINED. WHEN THIS HAPPENS THE WHOLE OF THE ISLAND CELEBRATES THAT PIRATE "oNE LAST TIME" AS THEY WILL NOT BE REMEMBERED, this is seen as there final send off. Since it is so common few pirates are dower but insted try there absolute best to celebrate extra, over the top, for the fallen.

oNE OF THREE SUCH BROTHELS OWNED BY THE tIEFLING PIMP BRUNO. hE, HIMSELF, SPENDS VERY LITTLE TIME HERE BUT THE BROTHEL IS A BIT OF A DESTINATION IN LA GAVIOTA.

SILKSTONE aLLEY
A WET COBBLESTONE ALLEY IN THE CENTER OF THE FLOATING ISLAND. a HOTSPOT FOR AMBUSHES AS ITS A CENTRAL SHORTCUT IN THE CITY. tHE ALLEY IS ALSO HOME TO ONE OF THE ONLY PASSAGEWAYS DOWN TO UNDERSIDE, THE LESS JOVIAL SIDE OF A GAVIOTA.
